Earworms That Steal My Sleep
I'm 65 since March 12 and apparently, I don't need as much sleep as I once did. It could be that since I started listening to songs like the one I'm going to share next, they are so ingrained in my subconscious that they have become earworms that keep me up all night. I can't shut them off-and I'm medicated every night! But that’s just me. I don't know what might happen to you!
Last night’s earworm is this: “Take it all Back” by Tauren Wells and Skillet. It has got To be one of my favorite songs of this genre, a heavy Christian anthem full of driving double bass and mind-blowing guitar riffs. There’s rap, rock, and heavy metal all in one song, yet the message is he’s calling the angels down to fight the ultimate goal mate battle for God’s glory, right?! Listen, what better earworms do we need?
Taking back what the enemy stole. One name above all names will defeat the devil.
As much as I love it, I sure do miss my sleep, yet if that's what it takes to keep me constantly mindful that Jesus will return -and we don't want to be here when that happens, - so be it! When He does, we want to have already been raptured and join the battle for souls, that's what we should want!
“Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.” – Psalm 44:5
Enjoy the song now and let me know if you share my joy each and every time I hear it.
